Winter Break is just around the corner, and we have been busy, busy, busy! Even though this time of year is absolutely crazy, it’s a fun…
Thanks for sharing your procedures and plans. Your children are lucky to have you as a teacher!
I am looping this year-and that's one good thing about it-they already know my expectations! A great reminder though. 🙂

The best thing I ever did with my first and second graders was to set up "permanent line order". I line them up by height, girl/boy, and it stays that way all year. I only switch someone if a problem arises. No more arguing over who's first, who's last–nothing! I can see the whole line because the shortest two kids are first. With 33 kids, teaching these procedures is so important! Thanks for the reminders! (After 30 years of teaching, I'm still learning!!)
I love this list of procedures. I am printing it right now. I plan on making a copy for my student teacher. This is great to have the list right in front of me so I don't forget anything.
I have been teaching for seven years and I also toss and turn the night before the first day worrying about if everything is ready even though I know it is. 🙂

I'm exhausted just reading through your list of procedure reminders! Even though this is my 8th year, it doesn't make the beginning of the year any easier! Although I love my job, it is so hard to start over again every year!
Thank you so much for all the great resources!
I love this list–as I read it, I mentally checked off that I do 90% of those things–but I've never had it as a list before! Then I can actually check it off!
Thanks for sharing!! I had my list done, but I just realized I was forgetting a couple of procedures.
Apparently I can't link my website within my comment…I'm sorry for looking like such a pain!
What a great list! It's amazing how much there is to do…those are the times I wish we had more hours in the day.
Thank you for sharing!!!

I have never had a problem printing anything, however, when I print your wonderful LIST it's only in black lines….Anyone else having problems?
Love your blog
I love you.
Love this! Thank you! One question, with reading The Gingerbread Man, do you use a specific book and what do you have them look for while walking around the school?
How do you do read to self the first day…. do you pick their books for them???
How do you make the Magic Play-Dough?
I just graduated in May of 2015 and am starting my FIRST teaching job in less than a week (I just found out I got the position)…thank you so much for all of this. I am so nervous, excited, and scared! Ah! I found this very helpful.
Do you have the link for the smart board game? Thanks!
