Common Core Assessments for 2nd Grade

Do you notice anything different?  I had my blog updated by the great and wonderful DreamLike Magic Designs!  I love it.
{I now have cute buttons for Facebook, Pinterest, Teachers Pay Teachers, and Teachers Notebook.}
Something else I’m loving right now is that it’s Fall Break!  We had Friday off and then we also have Monday off.  On Friday, I finally sat down and almost finished my Common Core Language Arts Assessments for 2nd Grade.  Then today….I FINISHED them!!!  These have been hanging over my head since August.
Click on the picture above to download a preview file of the assessments.  You can find the assessments below.

I had completed the Math Assessments for 2nd grade back in August.

I also had my 1st grade ones done before school started too.
So, I could not be more relieved that these are finished!!
To celebrate the completion of these assessments and just the fact that I love my new blog design, I’m randomly giving away a complete set of assessments (grade level of your choice) to 3 lucky followers.  Just leave me a comment below and I’ll be picking someone on Monday!

  2. I am so excited you finished this one! I purchased both the first and second grade math assessments and the LA one for first for my combined 1st/2nd class. Thanks for your hard work!

  3. We also just went to common core this year- and got a whole new math and literacy curriculum! To say things have been overwhelming is an understatement 🙂 But we are teachers and we can handle it right? I'd love to have this resource for 1st grade to get me on the right track with CC assessments. Thanks for your time! suzi.mercado@gmail.com

  4. These look outstanding! I have 5 children (2 of whom are in college this year) and I've been overwhelmed with trying to juggle family life and also get assessments, plans, binders, and forms of tracking figured out for the common core! These might be just the answer! 🙂

  5. Love these! Thank you for all the work you put into them. Don't know if you already caught it, but on the 2nd page of the 2nd grade preview all the standards are for 2nd, but it says "1st Grade Common Core Language." I would LOVE to win the 2nd grade assessments. They are awesome!

  9. I love your blog and use so many of your ideas! I am just getting back into teaching after being a stay at home for awhile and I would love a set of first grade assessments to get ready for my upcoming parent teacher conferences!

  10. I LOVE your blog and all of your ideas are fabulous! I am new to teaching first grade this year so I am taking one day at a time. I am learning something new everyday and I feel like I am always trying to find different ways to assess my students. I would love a copy of your assessments, and any other information you could help me out with! 🙂 blakeleymays@gmail.com

  11. WOW! I am absolutely AMAZED by what you have done. This is my first year in first grade after many years ago in the current district I am in. EVERYTHING is changing where I am and to see someone who has done this work is fantastic. I can't get over the creativity. I would ABSOLUTELY love a copy of your assessments. WE are so frustrated in our district becuase it seems as if we are being told to reinvent the wheel. I can't begin to tell you how much money has been spent on things and then we are told we can not use it. I am to the point of frustration and don't know where else to turn. Your blog is AWESOME! You are truly a breath of fresh air to a frustrated teacher. Thanks. teachercml@hotmail.com
