We have been working on our addition fact strategies.
Last year I created an Addition Fact Strategy unit and a Subtraction Fact Strategy unit. I started the Addition one earlier this year and I feel like my students are doing really well with their math facts already.
I introduce a strategy each week {sometimes every other week depending on how much exposure my students need.} We hang the poster on our Fact Strategy wall, sing our song, and practice the strategy. If you purchased these last year, I have added a couple more practice pages with some more challenging numbers, so you may want to go and redownload these.

Since we’re talking about math, I just wanted to share this page that my 6 year old was working on in the car this weekend. I think the ending is too funny!
And that is math!
I love how six year olds think they are so amazing when they can write equations in the hundreds. It is fun to see how excited they get about knowing "big" numbers
