What Should My Teacher Be For Halloween?

October 13, 2016 by Jodi 1 Comment

I wanted to share one of my favorite Halloween writing activities with you today.  My students absolutely LOVE doing this, and I am always blown away by their creativity.

What should my teacher be for Halloween? Writing Activity from Fun in FirstI give them this writing prompt with just my head copied on the page.  Then, the students have to decide what they think I should dress as for Halloween.  I loved the one above.  Obviously, I don’t hide my love for coffee.  Lol!

I had these posted on my Instagram earlier today, and had some requests for this printable.  I went ahead and threw it together in a FREEBIE for you.  I also made it editable, so you can add your name and picture.

That is so cute and fun and imaginative!!! In fact, I am going to do this for Prekindergarten!!! What’s that you say? PreK doesn’t write? How? Well, drawing pictures and “making their letters” is prekindergarten writing! Of course, we will ask them to tell us about their pictures, and write what they say on their paper. And that is how I will decide what to be for Halloween!

Thank you for the idea!!! Have a blessed October!

Give each student the vowels using foam or magnetic letters. Say a CVC word. The students hold up the vowel to show the middle sound that they hear.
