Students have matured so much over the first half of the year and are ready for more independence and rigorous lessons.

Each day, the teacher reads the focus words and a dictation sentence. Then, students write it in their notebooks. This provides immediate feedback on whether or not students know the current focus skill. On top of this, students also practice their handwriting, punctuation, and capitalization.
