Nonfiction in November
I am STILL in complete shock that it’s November!! October seriously flew by so fast. Plus….November is BABY month. Now it’s just a waiting game.
So between getting things organized and ready for a newborn and getting maternity leave plans ready for school, I’m trying to keep up on blogging and TpT stuff as well.
Even though it’s already 4 days into November, I did finally get my Nonfiction in November packet finished and posted!
These packets are a great way to integrate science and social studies into your reading curriculum. The themes for this month include: Patriotic Symbols (The Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, Bald Eagles, The White House, & the American Flag), Veterans Day, Turkeys, Thanksgiving, and the Mayflower Voyage.
You will find reading passages with “real” pictures, anchor chart labels, comprehension checks that work well for close reading and finding text evidence, vocabulary, graphic organizers, and writing pages.
