100th Day of School
A day students anxiously await all year is finally here- the 100th day of school! Honestly, there is something so special about being in school for 100 days. Students look forward to counting to this number each year and celebrating with their classmates. So, teachers love to add in a few special activities to take the celebration to the next level. Thankfully, the 100th Day of School Bundle of Activities has incredible ways for students to celebrate while still focusing on academics. Students will love the themed activities to ring in the 100th day of school!
Why is this day Important?
If you’ve never celebrated the 100th day of school, now is the perfect time to start! This day is significant to students and teachers. For students, it signifies 100 days of learning. Students can reflect on all of the reading, writing, and math growth they’ve shown. Additionally, they can show gratitude for friendships and collaboration with classmates. They can even celebrate being one step closer to summer break! For teachers, it is the ideal time to assess the growth of students and set goals for the second half of the year.
100th Day of School Bundle of Activities
This resource includes four activities to ensure there is a meaningful and memorable celebration in the classroom.
100th Day Color by Code: This activity includes 6 different combinations! Specifically, students will color the picture by solving addition and subtraction problems as well as a mixed page combo. Additionally, students will work on short vowels, long vowels with silent e, and a short/long vowel combo.
100th Day of School Booklet: This booklet includes many activities for students to complete throughout the day! For instance, students will predict where 100 steps will take them in the school. Then, they will see if their guesses are correct. Additionally, students will complete sentences based on the number 100, write numbers 1 to 100, and guess what they can do in 100 seconds. This packet has so many fun activities!
100th Day of School Games and Activities: Students love games! So, they are the perfect addition to this fun celebration. Specifically, there are 8 different activities for the classroom party. This includes playing This or That, having a dance break, and reading 100 words. Furthermore, it includes true or false questions, making words, and doing activities for 100 seconds. These activities will have students laughing, smiling, and discussing throughout the day.
The 100th-Day Challenge: This is the perfect activity to complete a fun, engaging academic celebration. Students will compete in 10 different academic challenges in small groups. Specifically, this includes putting words in ABC order and completing various physical activities. After each challenge, students will open a challenge ticket envelope and solve a code word. Lastly, the first team to solve all 10 code words is the winning team. Students will have so much fun that they won’t realize all the learning they are doing!
The 100th day of school is so special for students! It allows them to reflect on all they’ve learned and set goals for the rest of the year.
